Hey mums! If you’re looking for a new spot to take the kids where they can run, play, and explore, you’ll want to check out the freshly revamped Beecroft Village Green. This local gem just got a major upgrade, and it’s got something for everyone in the family!
On Sunday, 4 August, the community came together to celebrate the grand unveiling of the new facilities. The park has been transformed into an all-in-one spot for play, exercise, and socializing, and it’s perfect for both younger and older kids.
What’s new and exciting?
– Basketball Half Court: Older kids and teens can shoot some hoops and burn off that extra energy.
– Nature Play Equipment: Balance beams, swings, and a cozy hammock make for loads of fun and exploration.
– Adventure Play for Bigger Kids: New adventure play equipment is designed to challenge and engage older children.
– Toddler-Friendly Gear: Safe and engaging equipment like a mini slide for the littlest ones, ensuring everyone has a great time.
– Outdoor Exercise Equipment: Thanks to a grant from the NSW Government, there’s now outdoor exercise gear next to the tennis courts for a quick workout or a family fitness session.
– BBQ Facilities: Enjoy a family picnic with new BBQ facilities and water bubbler, perfect for those sunny afternoons or birthday parties.
– Accessible Toilets and Picnic Areas: Convenient amenities make it easier for you to spend the whole day at the park.
– Parking and Accessibility: You can take the train to Beecroft Station. Beecroft Village Green is within walking distance. If you are driving, you can park your car on The Crescent or Wongala Crescent and walk to the playground. Wongala Crescent is closer to the shops like Beecroft Place and Beecroft Village. You can grab a coffee on your way to the playground.
Beecroft Village Green has been a cherished space since 1886, and with these new upgrades, it’s set to be a beloved spot for many more years to come. Over 135 locals shared their ideas in 2022, and their feedback helped shape this fantastic new vision for the park.
So pack up the kids, grab some snacks, and head over to Beecroft Village Green for a fun day out. Whether you’re looking to let the kids run wild, enjoy a picnic, or just take a leisurely stroll, this park has it all.
